GISC High School – Launching Grade 9 in 2026-2027

A Global, Bilingual Pathway

Beginning with Grade 9 in the 2026-2027 school year, we are expanding into a full high school, with our first graduates expected in 2030.

As a candidate school for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (DP), we are preparing to offer the Mixed-Language Bilingual IB Diploma (GIB-Diplom) – equivalent to the German Abitur – once authorized. The IB Diploma is recognized by leading universities worldwide.

Graduates will also earn a U.S. High School Diploma, giving them unmatched flexibility to study at top universities around the globe – from Chicago to Berlin, Singapore to Melbourne – including tuition-free public universities in Germany and other European countries.

Why Choose GISC High School?

Bilingual Advantage
  • Students develop academic fluency in both German and English, building confidence, intercultural understanding, and the cognitive flexibility needed to thrive in a global world.
IB-Informed Pathway
  • As an IB World School authorized for the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and a candidate school for the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP), GISC is working toward offering the full IB continuum, pending authorization of the additional programmes. As we expand into high school, our students continue MYP-aligned learning in Grades 9 and 10 and, once authorized, progress to the DP in Grades 11 and 12.

Personalized Learning Environment
  • Low student-teacher ratios and a close-knit international community ensure that every student is seen, supported, and challenged through strong teacher relationships and individualized guidance.
A Truly Global Community
  • With families representing more than 40 nationalities, students benefit from daily cross-cultural exchange and develop the global perspectives essential for future success.

Bilingual IB Diploma Advantage

Pending DP authorization, GISC students will graduate with:
  • Mixed-Language Bilingual IB Diploma, recognized worldwide and equivalent to the German Abitur
  • U.S. High School Diploma
This powerful combination opens doors to:
  • Top U.S. universities including Ivy League schools, which may offer credit or advanced standing for IB coursework – no AP exams needed
  • Leading German and European universities, including tuition-free study
  • Prestigious universities worldwide
  • Global career opportunities after graduation
