After-School Activities and Extracurriculars

GISC provides after-school care and extracurricular classes including After Care (supervised free play), academic programs, sports & movement, and arts & music. Students can enroll in After Care and extracurricular programs at the beginning of each semester by emailing Director of Extracurricular Programming Christiane Tacke at ctacke@germanschoolchicago.com.

Parents may register their children for up to five days per week. For families who only occasionally need After Care for their children, we also offer a Drop-In Program.
After-School Care is offered from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
Session 1: 3:00-4:30 pm
Session 2: 4:30-6:00 pm

The German International School Chicago (GISC) is an IB World School that prepares students to become well-rounded, creative, and responsible global citizens. We provide students with a rigorous German-English bilingual education in a supportive and individualized learning environment. GISC graduates will be prepared academically and socially to succeed in an increasingly global world.
