Important Celebrations for Staff and Students

Weekly Update from the Director – March 22, 2024
Dear GISC Community,

Having just started our last trimester of the school year, celebrated the arrival of Spring (with a surprise snowfall today), and colored the Chicago River green, we took a little bit of time to acknowledge the tremendous honor one of our teachers received – Frau Dr. Amann-Rauter was honored in her native Austria by the Austrian Federal President for her superior academic achievements – please take the time to read the initial newsletter story below and join me in congratulating her.

Our 8th grade students are completing their Deutsches Sprachdiplom I (DSD I) examinations, while also making final decisions on where they will attend high school next year – we congratulate these students for their efforts and accomplishments.

I wish all of you a wonderful weekend – the sun is supposed to be out next week with some warmer temperatures returning – hopefully, also here to stay.

All the best,
Ben
