Teaching Internship Program

We welcome Teaching Interns from abroad every year for our Elementary and Middle School Programs for a minimum of 12 weeks up to one year. Our Intern Program is structured in 3 phases: Orientation Shadowing Phase (1-2 weeks), Participation Support Phase (4-6 weeks), Practical Phase (remainder of the internship), supported by a weekly reflection meeting on classroom management, differentiation, and co-teaching strategies. Come join our Team GISC so that you can get the most out of your internship abroad!

With a start date of August 15, 2024, you would have the added benefit of participating in a Co-Teaching Strategies Workshop with our Guest Speaker Andreas Hänssig of the University of Frankfurt am Main and participating in our Teacher Onboarding Week with a focus on classroom management and digital differentiation tools before our school year begins on August 26, 2024.

At GISC, you can deep-dive into co-teaching and differentiation strategies with a focus on teaching and learning in state-of-the-art classrooms.

Most interns choose to stay with GISC host families, building relationships in the home and bringing a dose of German language and culture to our community.

If you are interested in becoming a Teaching Intern at GISC, please fill in this Google Form and we will contact you.
